Data Deletion Instructions
Effective Date: February 15, 2026
1. Overview
Lyons Den Software respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your data from Chronicler's Codex, and what happens when you do.
2. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from within the application:
- Sign in to your Chronicler's Codex account.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting any content you wish to keep before proceeding.
3. What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed within 30 days:
- Account information: Your email address, display name, and authentication credentials.
- User content: All worlds, characters, locations, plot outlines, timelines, relationship maps, and other creative content you created.
- Preferences: Application settings and user preferences.
- Usage data: Any usage analytics associated with your account.
4. What Data May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained after account deletion in limited circumstances:
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you.
- Legal obligations: Data required to be retained by law, regulation, or legal proceedings.
- Backup systems: Data in encrypted backup systems may persist for up to 90 days before being automatically purged.
5. Deleting Specific Content
If you want to delete specific content without deleting your entire account, you can do so within the application:
- Delete individual worlds, characters, locations, or other entries from their respective pages.
- Content deletions are processed immediately and permanently.
6. Beta Signup Email Removal
If you signed up for the beta waitlist and wish to have your email removed, contact us at support@chroniclerscodex.com with the subject line "Beta Email Removal" and we will remove your email within 5 business days.
7. Requesting Deletion via Email
If you are unable to delete your account through the application, or if you have questions about your data, you can request deletion by contacting us:
Please include the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
8. Third-Party Data
When you delete your account, we also remove your data from our third-party service providers where applicable. Note that:
- Supabase: Account and content data stored in our database is deleted.
- Anthropic: AI providers do not retain data submitted through API requests beyond the duration of processing.
- Vercel: Anonymized analytics data cannot be linked back to your account.
